The thunga mats of Andhra Pradesh are made of thunga reeds woven artistically. Practitioners of this craft are also found in Visakhapatnam city. They are made in and around Nellore and have geometric and floral patterns in attractive designs and colours. These mats are used in the home as floor coverings.
