Machine is used for weaving Pochampalli silk sari, an exquisite tradition of double ikat style of weaving with variety of colors and intricate designs. Mallesham (37), a traditional weaver, has made a device to mechanize this process and relieve women, who generally do this task, from the drudgery involved.
